Cindy gathered her sketchpad and her bag. It was late fall on campus, and slightly chilly. She wrapped her scarf around her neck and put her jacket on. She began heading back to her dorm. It was peaceful outside. Just a few people had classes at this time, most of them were out to lunch. She watched the ground as she walked, having memorized the way back to her dorm.
"C-Cindy?" She heard. She snapped her head up to see a boy with brown hair, headphones, and a red bike. He was wearing a red jacket, a yellow scarf, and long black jeans. "Cindy?" He asked again.
"Jimmy?" She asked in a small voice. She could barely hear her voice over the sound of the fountain beside her.
"I didn't know you go to school here." Jimmy said, putting the headphones around his neck.
"I didn't know you did either." She said.
"Is that a sketch pad?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm taking an art class." She said softly.
"Well, I have to go. It's been great seeing you again." Jimmy began walking past her. She just stood there.
"Right. You too." She smiled.
"And uhh, I have a class right now, but do you want to go get some dinner tonight? Around 7?" Jimmy asked, turning his neck around to see her.
"Y-yeah, ok. I'm in Retro hall, room 112." She smiled a little more.
"I'll come get you after my last class. We can catch up." Jimmy smiled too.
"Ok, see you then." She smiled wider.
"Right." He put his headphones back on and continued to ride his bike across campus. Cindy sat on the edge of the fountain, flipping open her sketchpad. It was filled with pictures from her childhood, most of them included Jimmy. She slammed the book closed and ran off toward her dorm to pick out the perfect outfit for dinner that night, smiling the whole way there.
